One of the worst things that can happen to a computer is constant crashing. The most feared crash is the so called Blue Screen of Death or simply BSOD. Other times a computer simply turns off with no indication of what happened. There you have two choices, take your PC to specialist or attempt to fix it yourself.
Step 1: corrupted System Registry
Every Windows has the so called system registry that tells your PC what to do in various situations. If something there is broke, your PC basically won't understand what to do and crash. You don't have to manually attempt to go through the registry files since that could take days, weeks or months. Luckily, there are enough softwares that will fix your registry errors. For a freeware software you can check out Eusing or if you are ready to spend money on a top of the line registry cleaning software, i recommend PC Tools Registry Mechanic.
Step 2: Malicious Software
Sometimes you can accidentally get a malicious software stuck in to your windows system. Those things can slow down your PC and also make it crash. Just like with registry cleaning softwares, there are also several softwares that can deal with viruses, trojans, adware and the rest of that nasty family. To remove viruses, i recommend http://www.avast.com/en-eu/index which is a free anti-virus software. You should always have an anti-virus software installed on your PC. To remove adware, i recommend Spy-Bot which is also a free software. You should scan your PC at least once a week to keep it clean.
Step 3: Overheating
Overheating can also cause frequent crashes. I covered this topic in two of my previous posts. If you think that overheating can be an issue, click here for information on how to monitor the temperature or click here to reduce high temperatures.
