Hello and welcome to LetMeFixThat. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Maris and i fix computers for my living.

Ever since i was little i had a big interest in PC's and since i was very curious about everything a PC can do, i used to run in to a lot of trouble with my PC. For example, i used to go in to the System32 folder and run every .exe file there was or i used to delete every obsolete (in my opinion) file there was, just because i had a small hard drive and a big passion for games that could not fit on it. Useless to say that every few months my computer would turn on just to say that there were system files missing and i could not launch my operating system anymore.



Back in the day i used Win95 and it was not that simple to reinstall it as it is now with Win7 and to be honest, i had no idea about reinstalling an operating system so i used to spend days trying to fix my PC until my father took it to a real computer specialist who fixed it easily. It went on for years, because at that time i had neither internet nor google where i could read about installing operating systems. It all changed with Win98 which i finally managed to reinstall on my own. I also learned the command Format c:, so those were my two methods of fixing a PC.

With so little knowledge, all my answers to friends asking about their computers, was Format c:

Everything changed with me getting a DSL connection and Google. That combination helped me to fix almost all the problems i had with my PC and eventually i took a job at a computer store selling and fixing PC's. Now i enjoy working with computers and looking through google to fix everything i am getting thrown at.

In this blog i would like to write about my experience, provide some tips and tricks and hopefully you can learn something too.
